No referral necessary, just call us and book in today.
No, dental check-ups and treatment are free for children under 18, or 18 and in fulltime education.
You can opt for private treatments such as white filings and appointments with the hygienist.
We are happy to complete any Insurance claim forms you have if you have medical or dental cover.
Call our reception team who are always happy to assist in booking an appointment. You can also email our reception team through the contact us form. Alternatively pop in to the practice to speak face to face.
NHS and private treatments are available. You can view the price list on our website.
We take half of the hygiene fee upon booking of all private dental treatment appointments to secure your booking in advance. This is a refundable deposit as long as you cancel with 48 hours’ notice, otherwise the fee will be retained as a failure to attend fee.
Yes, we do routinely send email and SMS reminders, however this is a gesture of goodwill. The responsibility to attend your appointment will not be dependent upon you receiving a reminder, as often there can be issues with service providers or even mobile devices.

Brilliant dental care as usual, all the staff are very friendly and professional . I have been a patient at this practice for 40 years and when the current owners took over when Mr Yap retired the high level of care just carried on and has improved. I would recommend this practise to anyone.
I have been going to Hearlds way dentists for years now & I’m still so impressed with how much they’ve helped me. I’m a very nervous patient and have had exceptional experiences the whole time. I’m currently having Invisalign treatment and so pleased with how the whole process has gone, the dentist, hygienists & reception staff are all so polite and helpful. Could not recommend Heralds Way enough.

I had a horrendous experience with a different dentist years ago which made me so fearful I would not go to check ups.However, severe pain with an abscess left me with no choice but to see the dentist.Yousaf Choudhry’s laid back, calm manner and sense of humour made it difficult not to to feel relaxed. I said from the start I was anxious as I had a terrible experience years ago and he took the time to explain things to me, tell me what he was doing and what to expect which helped me feel calmer. He was quick to find the root cause, prescribe antibiotics, explain to me options and put a plan in place to prevent further problems. His nurse (with coloured hair) was so friendly and gave great advice. I think they work fantastically together.I usually have to be referred to be placed under conscious sedation for treatment however with two children now in tow I need a quicker turnaround for treatment. I felt confident with Yousaf and booked to have the tooth removed the following week.I still felt nervous and shaken but again Yousaf’s easy going and calm manner just put me at ease. His sense of humour relaxed me and after the injections went in I could not feel a thing. He worked quickly and removed the tooth before I even realised it had happened. The sense of relief was huge!I now feel keen to keep up with regular check ups which is a huge relief as I dreaded problems cropping up with my teeth. I also didn’t want to be seen by my children to be scared of the dentist and for them to potentially take on my fear.I honestly can’t thank Yousaf, his nurse and the surgery enough for not only being so professional but being understanding and supportive all whilst keeping good sense of humour.
Top dentist in the district bar none. Requested emergency appointment as old filling fell out of tooth. Less than a week later everything was sorted with a new filling. Cost.... bargain!!

i had my first time at this dentist this morning, as an emergency appointment for a very painful tooth.i was seen by Dr Kassan, and i was incredibly anxious about the appointment. dr kassan and his nurse Tallulah made me feel as at ease as possible, he talked me through the procedure and was incredibly patient with me.i will be registering my family with this dentist as a result - all the staff there were kind and supportive of me in my time of need and i am so grateful to them all.Thank you so so much for ending my pain!
I have been a patient at Heralds way for 38 years , I have had such a horrid experience that I will not be returning, nor will my family. Following a broken tooth that had been filled for some time I was advised to have a crown ( not my first). Following the prep it was uncomfortable and even painful and I made the dentist aware, on the day of fitting it was too painful to be cleaned but after numbing I beared with the fitting although still feeling pain, I was told it will take a while to settle so for the next couple of days I back to back took pain killers, then following two nights of no sleep I was fitted in and returned by now in terrible pain, I was told a root procedure could be started but the dentist would only be 30-40% successful and how I should book a specialist, then oh how luck are you the specialist has one slot before Christmas he can fit you in for £750 shall I book it. I’m sat there in horrid pain and the date is another 11 days away and the dentist is just talking about treatment plans! I’m beside myself in pain! I agreed to let the dentist try to numb my nerve , anything at this point my first request was to remove the tooth, just paid over £300 to have it made but want it out as pain so bad. I had 4 injections and they did not numb or dull the pain at all, the dentist tried to drill into my crown but it was excruciating painful. I was reluctantly prescribed antibiotics, told I was not in a fit state to make a decision about removing the tooth, then that she couldn’t because didn’t have time and she couldn’t numb my tooth. A referral for a sedation was suggested but she didn’t know when it would be. I left still in terrible pain. Frightened and quite desperate for help. I can’t now understand how phone calls were not made for me to see where could fit me in asap, just leaving me in that state. That evening I developed a fever and I still in now excruciating pain, A&E couldn’t help other than give me iv antibiotics, painkillers and morphine which just took the edge off, it took another 48 hours till the antibiotics which I had to ask for dulled the pain to bearable and I finally got some sleep. I called my dentist to see about the referral, I was called back by my dentist to be told the referral had been made. So then I decided myself find and booked a dentist asap. I went for a consultation and they took one look at me and moved clients to do my sedation there and then. I was in considerable less pain by now. They called me the following day to check up on me too. I will not be returning to Heralds way Dental practise, I’m quite traumatised by the whole experience, I feel money comes above patient care and have no trust.

Great Staff, had a general check-up and session with the hygienist easy and painless experience.
Moved into area and needed a dentist. Unfortunately I experienced an incidence with my bridge which was life changing for me. I was very distressed. Ifra was very professional made me feell as ease and did everything in her power to ensure I was able to face the world again with a smile. I cannot thank her enough. All of the staff appeared very helpful and friendly. The practice was clean and welcoming.So pleased I found this lovely dentist practice

no pain is always a result when visiting the dentist! Slightly worrying that the inspection is much more visual, than hands on these days though.
Implant completed on Sunday 15th September.No pain at the time.A couple of paracetamol required once the anaesthetic had worn off, but ok on Monday.A very professional job.
The side of my tooth broke off and I needed a quick appointment which they provided me with. My usual dentist was booked but they managed to get me an appointment with Maliha Ali who was great. Thank you I really appreciated you fitting me in. No more discomfort for me now😁R

A very nice practice, with polite and courteous staff.Reasonable fees too. Far better than the private dentist, I left. The new annex is nice too.A minor issue was the beeping alarm box. Which was annoying, as every minute or so it beeps. Not ideal when sat next to it.

After avoiding visiting the dentist for a few years due to concerns with my previous dentist telling me I needed over 3k of work done. I registered with Heralds Way. Had my registration appointment and today an anxious visit with the hygienist. No mention of 3k of work needed. I also had a broken tooth which they offered to fit me in the next day. I can say that I feel thankful and relieved to find a practice I can trust and will be making regular appointments. Cant recommend enough

I’ve recently had 10 composite bonds on my upper teeth and i couldn’t have had a better experience. Hassan was absolutely amazing, made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout, and I am stunned with the result. I couldn’t recommend Hassan more 👍🏽

Excellent. This was my first appointment with this dentist. I decided to change dentists after 26 years with the previous one which was quite a distance from where I have lived for the last 22 years. I was absolutly terrified of dental visits ,that was until i was refered to Simran. Simran is the most wonderful amazing person /dentist ever . My fear of dental visits have now completely vanished all thanks to lovely Simran.
I am a new patient to this dental clinic and so far I have been so impressed with the service I have received. I have so far, seen the Dentist, Dr Ali, twice and the Hygienist for one visit. All the members of staff, are so polite and welcoming. The Hygienist took her time and explained everything to me and how to keep my teeth clean and plaque free. During my check up visit with Dr Ali today, he was so kind to me, as he helped me with an issue I had with my front tooth, where there was a chip out of it and he solved the problem immediately and took time to give me some much needed advice. I didn't feel at all rushed and he has restored my confidence. I will certainly be booking another appointment for some teeth whitening treatment soon. Thanks to all.Linda
My appointment was at The Annex and I greatly preferred this surgery as it was quieter and more spacious. My dentist is always efficient and kind.

Fayaaz and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I am about to begin my Invisalign journey and so far he has made the process seamless. Fayaaz was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. We spent a long time together discussing different options and I have no doubt I am in good hands as his expertise was clear. The practice itself is also very clean, modern and appealing and is always a pleasure to visit.
I needed an urgent appointment. The receptionist managed to get me an appointment the same day . Which was really appreciated. The receptionist and the dentists are so friendly and make you feel at ease

Very positive experience as usual and I'm genuinely terrified of the dentists. It was easy to get an appointment, friendly reception staff, I was seen Very quickly. My dentist (Simmi) is excellent, she really understands nervous patients, hope I die before she retires (I'm 64 and she's quite young, so I'm not suicidal) as I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Being a nervous patient, I was given lots of encouragement throughout my visit. At each step I was told what was being done. All this helped me to relax more whilst treatment was done.
Such a gentle hygienist, Cara was amazing. So much so that I booked my next one already which is a first.
I was under the care of Has for Invisalign from Aug 23-Apr 24 and cannot recommend him enough. I'm so happy with the results and Has is great at talking you through what is possible and supporting throughout.

I recently had to have a double tooth removed from the very back of my jaw. I didn’t have a dentist at the surgery but when I said I was having toothache they got me in very quickly. I am terrified of needles but Dr Kassam managed to numb my mouth without me feeling a thing, I didn’t even feel the needle go in, I was amazed. Same with the extraction, no pain at all. Thanks Dr Kassam for making it a painless experience and thank you to the lovely ladies on reception for being so friendly and helpful.

Because of my previous experience of going to the dentist I lacked confidence and trust and I had not returned for treatment. Consequently I and was no longer registered with a dentist surgery and urgent treatment was needed.After months of trying, I was eventually able to make an appointment at Heralds Way. I was apprehensive, because I usually find going to the dentist an unpleasant experience, and on this occasion I also anticipated extensive work being needed. This is because I had been told by my previous dentist (at a different surgery) that treatment for my tooth was complex and would cost about £1,800.I was seen by Jasreet Sagoo, at Heralds Way, and her warm welcome and relaxed approach immediately reassured me. After examination, she advised that the major work I had been recommended was, in her opinion, a last result, and she felt that it was not necessary at this time. Instead, Jasreet recommended filling the tooth, and I felt completely confident in her judgement. All my previous concerns were unfounded, and for the first time in memory, when going to the dentist, I felt reassured and relaxed! I feel huge relief that the dental work needed is finally being completed, and even more, because I finally have found a dentist who I feel comfortable with, and completely trust and have confidence in. My faith is restored! I never thought I would be able to say that going to the dentist is a positive experience - so thank you Jasreet Sagoo, and Heralds Way Dental Clinic. I will be back!!

I'm personally not a fan of the dentist and hadn't been in nearly 8 years. I started slowly with invisalign and have finally built up to a checkup. Faayaaz, Cathy and the team have been amazing, havinng always reassured me and discussed all options available.I also have a rare blood disorder, which they've gone over and above to be accommodating for. Could not recommend this surgery enough! I now love my smile even more.

This was an extra appointment as one of my molars had fractured. There was a warm welcome by the staff. The dentist was thorough, professional, amenable and sorted out the problem..
Excellent service as always. Everything explained clearly. I cannot recommend my dentist highly enough. A visit involves a 100 mile round trip for me but absolutely worth it.

Routine appointment with Dental Hygienist Louise W.Warm welcome from Reception on arrival and sat in the smart waiting room. As I had filled in the routine status forms online in advance only a short wait before being called.Louise gets to know you as a person and not a patient number. She readily advises on the condition of your teeth and what needs to be done. She also listens to your concerns and addresses them with considered response.I left the practice with beautifully cleaned, shiny teeth and a calm state of mind.Would I recommend? Without hesitation!

My dentist Simran Rattan is so patient and amazing with me. I’m quite a nervous patient and she goes the extra mile to really reassure me and talk me through it. Makes going to the dentist so much easier. Highly recommended and such a good dentist!

Great check-up with Simi which only took 5 minutes.£25 seems a lot of money now that I am a pensioner but would be worth it if free cleaning was reinstated as tartar builds up even with electric toothbrush. Stopped during Covid but not sure why?

This is the first time I have been at Hearlds way dentist to see the hygienist Cara. Cara was absolutely lovely very gentle & made me feel very relaxed.
For my little girl they have been amazing and so professional. They knew she was anxious and they have been extremely careful and they did explain to her every step. Even for extray they took the time. Really greatfull.
I am terrified of the dentists which is why I left it so long before going back as I was in considerable pain. My dentist was excellent and very calming and kind. I had a tooth extracted and a filing and left pain free. I will definitely make sure I come back regularly from now on.

I received the usual calm, friendly and capable treatment from my dentist. I said I was feeling a little apprehensive not having experienced this treatment before and she was most understanding, explaining everything she was doing and constantly checking that I was alright. First class service.
