I have been going to Hearlds way dentists for years now & I’m still so impressed with how much they’ve helped me. I’m a very nervous patient and have had exceptional experiences the whole time. I had a horrendous experience with a different dentist years ago which made me so fearful I would not go to check ups.

However, severe pain with an abscess left me with no choice but to see the dentist.

Yousaf Choudhry’s laid back, calm manner and sense of humour made it difficult not to to feel relaxed. I said from the start I was anxious as I had a terrible experience years ago and he took the time to explain things to me, tell me what he was doing and what to expect which helped me feel calmer. He was quick to find the root cause, prescribe antibiotics, explain to me options and put a plan in place to prevent further problems. His nurse (with coloured hair) was so friendly and gave great advice. I think they work fantastically together.
I usually have to be referred to be placed under conscious sedation for treatment however with two children now in tow I need a quicker turnaround for treatment. I felt confident with Yousaf and booked to have the tooth removed the following week.
I still felt nervous and shaken but again Yousaf’s easy going and calm manner just put me at ease. His sense of humour relaxed me and after the injections went in I could not feel a thing. He worked quickly and removed the tooth before I even realised it had happened. The sense of relief was huge!
I now feel keen to keep up with regular check ups which is a huge relief as I dreaded problems cropping up with my teeth. I also didn’t want to be seen by my children to be scared of the dentist and for them to potentially take on my fear.
I honestly can’t thank Yousaf, his nurse and the surgery enough for not only being so professional but being understanding and supportive all whilst keeping good sense of humour.

i had my first time at this dentist this morning, as an emergency appointment for a very painful tooth.

i was seen by Dr Kassan, and i was incredibly anxious about the appointment. dr kassan and his nurse Tallulah made me feel as at ease as possible, he talked me through the procedure and was incredibly patient with me.

i will be registering my family with this dentist as a result - all the staff there were kind and supportive of me in my time of need and i am so grateful to them all.

I have been a patient at Heralds way for 38 years , I have had such a horrid experience that I will not be returning, nor will my family. Following a broken tooth that had been filled for some time I was advised to have a crown ( not my first). Following the prep it was uncomfortable and even painful and I made the dentist aware, on the day of fitting it was too painful to be cleaned but after numbing I beared with the fitting although still feeling pain, I was told it will take a while to settle so for the next couple of days I back to back took pain killers, then following two nights of no sleep I was fitted in and returned by now in terrible pain, I was told a root procedure could be started but the dentist would only be 30-40% successful and how I should book a specialist, then oh how luck are you the specialist has one slot before Christmas he can fit you in for £750 shall I book it. I’m sat there in horrid pain and the date is another 11 days away and the dentist is just talking about treatment plans! I’m beside myself in pain! I agreed to let the dentist try to numb my nerve , anything at this point my first request was to remove the tooth, just paid over £300 to have it made but want it out as pain so bad. I had 4 injections and they did not numb or dull the pain at all, the dentist tried to drill into my crown but it was excruciating painful. I was reluctantly prescribed antibiotics, told I was not in a fit state to make a decision about removing the tooth, then that she couldn’t because didn’t have time and she couldn’t numb my tooth. A referral for a sedation was suggested but she didn’t know when it would be. I left still in terrible pain. Frightened and quite desperate for help. I can’t now understand how phone calls were not made for me to see where could fit me in asap, just leaving me in that state. That evening I developed a fever and I still in now excruciating pain, A&E couldn’t help other than give me iv antibiotics, painkillers and morphine which just took the edge off, it took another 48 hours till the antibiotics which I had to ask for dulled the pain to bearable and I finally got some sleep. I called my dentist to see about the referral, I was called back by my dentist to be told the referral had been made. So then I decided myself find and booked a dentist asap. I went for a consultation and they took one look at me and moved clients to do my sedation there and then. I was in considerable less pain by now. They called me the following day to check up on me too. I will not be returning to Heralds way Dental practise, I’m quite traumatised by the whole experience, I feel money comes above patient care and have no trust.

Moved into area and needed a dentist. Unfortunately I experienced an incidence with my bridge which was life changing for me. I was very distressed. Ifra was very professional made me feell as ease and did everything in her power to ensure I was able to face the world again with a smile. I cannot thank her enough. Had my registration appointment and today an anxious visit with the hygienist. No mention of 3k of work needed. I also had a broken tooth which they offered to fit me in the next day. I can say that I feel thankful and relieved to find a practice I can trust and will be making regular appointments. Cant recommend enough

I am a new patient to this dental clinic and so far I have been so impressed with the service I have received. I have so far, seen the Dentist, Dr Ali, twice and the Hygienist for one visit. All the members of staff, are so polite and welcoming. The Hygienist took her time and explained everything to me and how to keep my teeth clean and plaque free. During my check up visit with Dr Ali today, he was so kind to me, as he helped me with an issue I had with my front tooth, where there was a chip out of it and he solved the problem immediately and took time to give me some much needed advice. I didn't feel at all rushed and he has restored my confidence. I will certainly be booking another appointment for some teeth whitening treatment soon. Thanks to all.

I recently had to have a double tooth removed from the very back of my jaw. I didn’t have a dentist at the surgery but when I said I was having toothache they got me in very quickly. I am terrified of needles but Dr Kassam managed to numb my mouth without me feeling a thing, I didn’t even feel the needle go in, I was amazed. Same with the extraction, no pain at all. Thanks Dr Kassam for making it a painless experience and thank you to the lovely ladies on reception for being so friendly and helpful.

Because of my previous experience of going to the dentist I lacked confidence and trust and I had not returned for treatment. Consequently I and was no longer registered with a dentist surgery and urgent treatment was needed.
After months of trying, I was eventually able to make an appointment at Heralds Way. I was apprehensive, because I usually find going to the dentist an unpleasant experience, and on this occasion I also anticipated extensive work being needed. This is because I had been told by my previous dentist (at a different surgery) that treatment for my tooth was complex and would cost about £1,800.
I was seen by Jasreet Sagoo, at Heralds Way, and her warm welcome and relaxed approach immediately reassured me. After examination, she advised that the major work I had been recommended was, in her opinion, a last result, and she felt that it was not necessary at this time. Instead, Jasreet recommended filling the tooth, and I felt completely confident in her judgement. All my previous concerns were unfounded, and for the first time in memory, when going to the dentist, I felt reassured and relaxed! I feel huge relief that the dental work needed is finally being completed, and even more, because I finally have found a dentist who I feel comfortable with, and completely trust and have confidence in. My faith is restored! I never thought I would be able to say that going to the dentist is a positive experience - so thank you Jasreet Sagoo, and Heralds Way Dental Clinic. I will be back!!

I'm personally not a fan of the dentist and hadn't been in nearly 8 years. I started slowly with invisalign and have finally built up to a checkup. Faayaaz, Cathy and the team have been amazing, havinng always reassured me and discussed all options available.
I also have a rare blood disorder, which they've gone over and above to be accommodating for. Could not recommend this surgery enough! I now love my smile even more.

A trip to the dentist is never an appealing thought; but the whole experience at Heralds Way was fantastic. Routine appointment with Dental Hygienist Louise W.
Warm welcome from Reception on arrival and sat in the smart waiting room. As I had filled in the routine status forms online in advance only a short wait before being called.

Louise gets to know you as a person and not a patient number. She readily advises on the condition of your teeth and what needs to be done. She also listens to your concerns and addresses them with considered response.
I left the practice with beautifully cleaned, shiny teeth and a calm state of mind.

Would I recommend? Without hesitation!

Great check-up with Simi which only took 5 minutes.
£25 seems a lot of money now that I am a pensioner but would be worth it if free cleaning was reinstated as tartar builds up even with electric toothbrush. Stopped during Covid but not sure why?

I recently finished my treatment plan with Invisalign.
Everyone in the practice has been wonderful. Lovely ladies on reception are always so helpful.
Kathy the hygienist is so gentle and thorough, my mouth feels super clean afterwards.
Fayaaz and Jade work great together, they both have been amazing and Fayaaz has gone above and beyond.
